ControlPro

Web Based Control System Design Application, Along with P&ID

Sample Video

A quick look what the software is capable of...

P&ID Drawings /
Instruments / Junction Boxes / Panels / Cables / Terminations / IO's / IO Racks / Loop Drawings
All interconnected.

Except P&ID, which is user design,
all other drawings are automatically generated
based on user inputs.

Simple User Interface

Unlike any other CAD software, appearance is very clean, easy to understand without training.

Self-explanatory objects, pre-defined symbols allow user to insert any objects with minimal thinking.

Integrated Objects

Objects with cables, such as valves, instruments, are integrated with cable, cable type, junction box, panel, IO and so on...

Object Types

Visible Objects on PID:
All process objects are visible on P&ID such as Tank, Pipe, Valve, Transmitter...

Non-Visible Objects on PID:
Junction Boxes, Panels, Cable Types, IO Racks etc...

Object References

All objects are referenced to P&ID grid, as Page, Row and Column. P1R7C18.

Colors

User Specified Colors:
Object colors are predefined based on purpose.

Process / Instrument / Software function / Setpoints / Power Equipment attached to different color so easy to distinguish them. Can also be turned off/on.
Some additional info which are invisible as default can be turned on/off on P&ID such as alarm setpoints, ranges for instruments, IO address, cable destination, type and so on...

Material Lists

While user inserting objects (in other words while drafting), similar objects are combined together and counted automatically. On the right you see cable types and their used length are given.

In the same way all valves (based on typical), all tanks, all hand valves, all motors, are listed.

User constantly have the magnitude of the job during process development.

Cable List / IO List

Some lists are converted as DWG due to a part of
-Complete Report- at the end of the project.

Each IO have a link to Loop Diagram.

Excel Integrity

All lists are spreadsheet based so they are all convertible (just copy/paste) to Excel.

Junction Box List

JB List contains basic info about JB and a link to block diagram and termination diagrams.

Cable Block / Termination Diagrams - JB

Diagrams are created automatically as soon as JB is created.

Cable Block Diagram - Panel

Gives a brief idea what is connected to selected panel.
If the number of cables exceeds the cable capacity of the panel user can see visually then update as required, either increase the panel cable capacity or move some cables to another panel.

Cable Termination Diagram - Panel

Termination of the cables of panel side is based on cable type attached to each instrument/junction box.

IO Rack List

IO is distributed on to racks/slots as user insert the objects such as instruments/valves.

Constantly user will see total rack capacity, used and spare number of IOs.

IO Rack View

Gives another perspective to designer, based on this view user can re-arrange IO without interfering any other data by drag/drop capability.

Loop Diagram

All IO will generate its own loop based on user entries.
Cable List is an index of loops as well. Each signal on the cable list is connected to its own loop.

Power Cable List / Load List

Power Cable Lists contains power carried over the cable, and constantly total power is calculated for all panels hierarchically.

Any load, such as motor once inserted on P&ID, and connected to a panel, the list is updated automatically.

All panel total loads are re-calculated based on new load.

Single Line Diagrams

All panels will have a single line diagram.
In the same way above, any load, such as motor added to P&ID, single line diagram is also updated.

Total load is re-calculated based on new load and shown on power bar on SLD.

Reports

Reports can be generated either page by page or as groups.

All drawings are on paper space, user do not need to worry about how it will look like on the paper, as it is shown on screen. User can change paper size and grid size.

All outputs/extractions/reports are either spreadsheet based or SVG based which means; convertible to excel or dwg.
